What is the Eligibility for PreDAC?
10 + 2/10+3 years of formal education

What is the Admission procedure?
The interested candidate has to apply for this course through internet (online application form only) only. There are no printed applications available. In the online application form, the student can opt for the center to undergo this course. He has to send the Demand Draft of Rs 7000/- in favour of CDAC, ACTS, Pune, which includes the application form fee for DAC.

Duration of the course?
PreDAC is 216 hrs course and also a short course comprising of 120 hrs.

How many hours a day?
2 or 4 hrs a day depending on whether it is a fast track or normal batch.

Fees of the course?
Rs. 7000 for the 216 hours PreDAC Course and Rs. 4500 for the short PreDAC course comprising of 120 hrs.

Is the fees refundable?
No

Is the course affiliated to the university or any type of grant?
No. The course is under CDAC, which is a part of Ministry of IT, Central Govt, India.

How is the lab/PC's allotted?
Two students for one PC

Do we get the course material from C-DAC?
Yes

Examination of the modules?
A comprehensive Theory exam encompassing all the modules is conducted at the end of the course.
Final and Internal Practical exam for all the applicable modules will be conducted.

Evaluation Process?
Examination is conducted at the end of Course:
Question papers will be sent by ACTS, Pune and the evaluation will be done locally as per the guidelines given by ACTS, Pune.
On the successful completion of the course, student will be awarded the certificate for "Foundations of Programming using C"

How is the grading done?
The final grade of the student will be computed on a Actual score.

Re-examination of a particular module?
Student can appear for the Re-exam by paying the specified reexamination fee.

Certificates of the course?
The Certificates will be dispatched to the ATCs in not more than 30 days from the date of the examination.

Library facility?
A very good library facility is provided at all the ATCs.

What is the scope of the course?
To familiarise the students with fundamentals of computing and fundamentals of programming using the C language. And also to introduce Object Oriented concepts.

Faculty of the ATC's?
All the faculty of ATCs are approved by CDAC, by conducting proper training programmes and making the proper evaluation of each of them in both theory and practicals.

Can I have the change of center?
You can do the course in one center and appear for the exam in another center.

Revision of the course contents, is it every six months?
Yes, If required

If the course is done from ATC's, where will I get the certificate from?
Certificate will be given by CDAC.

Can I retain my admission for the next batch based on the performance of this test?
No. Your admission will be valid for only this batch if you have cleared the entrance exam.
