Task at hand :
Reefers are refrigerated trailers / trucks used for long haul transportation of foodstuff like frozen meat etc across North America. The problem relates to designing a solution for the complete maintenance of reefer services.
Solution :
The Truck and Trailer Management System is a solution designed and developed for Truck Service Companies to get the instant access of refrigerated units (Reefer) on trailers. The Solution consists of the three versions and data integration with accounting software:
1. Internet Suite: Web based solution that would work online having the repository of all the things.
2. Tablet PC Suite: That would be used by the Inspection authorities, the service personnel’s etc from which they would upload their report into Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 that would be later synchronized with the SERVER to upload the data into the server.
3. Handheld Device: That would be used by the Inspection authorities, from which they would upload their report into Windows Mobile that would be later synchronized with the SERVER to upload the data.
4. Integration with QuickBooks Accounting Software: All subsystems will need to integrate with QuickBooks. This will allow Super User the ability to process accounts for all parts and services performed. The application features: • Fueling • Trailer Inspection • Parking • Cleaning, Gates, Straps • Service and Repairs • Real Time Trailer Status • Online Service Request (Secure) • Management Information Reports

West Coast Reefer, an application that includes comprehensive module for the repairs & maintenance, operations, inventory management, accounting etc. The complete history of each reefer helps the operators keep track of the condition of the vehicle.
The application provides the current status of each reefer to its owners, clients, service points etc about the condition of each reefer and is accessible at all times through mobile devices like TabletPC, Pocket devices etc through its web services.
